I just made a new website to share my photography work. No, it doesn't mean I'm abandoning this blog so no worries. Sorry for the hiatus though. It's been busy at school. BUSY.

I made these two for fun - the first is from today and the folded name is a week or two ago. Cool? =)
.
My Two Cents on the new Mac/PC ads that go against Windows 7:
It was funny the first 100 times and smart too. This time around, however, it feels like it is just in bad taste. I've also noticed something too reading the comments on various hosting websites of the ads. Non-mac users, for the most part, don't care. Mac users, for the most part, are defending it or helping to bash non-mac users. The ads have gotten to the point where they are just preaching to the choir. They have. Go look at comments yourself and what the majority of each group says.
.
Actually, Windows 7 is doing quite well in ratings and reviews and that's what non-mac users care for more, I imagine. Personally, I'm a user of both now. I use a mac and I use windows. I get why mac is so great and I remember and still see why windows is so great. Knowing both, I still prefer windows and that's just me. I'm not here to offer benefits and liabilities of each OS. I'm just saying I'm noticing a trend. Look more closely and you might too, if your head isn't stuck in an apple of course or caught in between a window hahaha. That's a joke; take it easy.
.
Both systems have never given me more problems than the other. Actually, to tell you the truth, I use macs (that's with an S) at school and my friends' too and I found overall more problems with the macS than with windows... just saying.
.
By the way, what's PC stand for again? Yeppp...

Filming =D
I Am My Ambition Campagin - Shoot #1 (August)

ah vistek =)

excitement.

Kunal is actually the founder of the Impact organization but is running Polar Mobile currently.

I Am My Ambition Campaign - Shoot #2 (September - Day After Return from NYC Ad Week)

RUTV people to help us this time. Robin and Jacky take director's chair along with the guy with the beard there who is in charge of the students he brought. We still help film though, of course.

Discussing the cameras and their frames during the shot.

Hmmm...

Clapper board - gotta love it!

I Am My Ambition - Shoot #3 (today)
Anyway, I felt I was too busy to go to this shoot originally, but after realizing it fell within my reading week, I decided to go and lucky I did. In terms of crew, we had a total of 4 people this time. One was the interviewer, two actual crew for production and another who brings in the various speakers. Originally, this was still the case except that one crew member for production became very ill so I basically filled in. My partner on this campaign later came in at 5pm to fill in for me while I did what I was there to do primarily - overlook everything. My partner and I basically serve as the producers behind this.
Last minute last night, I decided to go and help the production of the "I Am My Ambition" campaign for Impact, an entrepreneurial conference group. Starting out as a simple promotional video, I helped transform this into a full-fledged campaign that will extend further into the branding of Impact. "I Am My Ambition" was a great piece of copy that came about with the help of Shivani Sharma.

Check out her unique site, chickadvisor.com. Solve an existing problem. That's what it's all about.

Yup, so today was shoot #3 and the final one at that. With 7 videos now wrapped and awaiting post-production, the deadline is November 16th for the November 20th conference where they will be featured. During the conference, the plan is to film as many entrepreneurs as possible during the three days. The goal seems to be a minimum of 5 per day. I am not sure if I can do it however being busy with my studies in my amazing advertising program, but if I can, I would at least love to attend the conference.
That's me at the bottom right corner. Gotta love directing!
Our lighting was flawed this time, I know, but I think it will be okay. These are great people too; all four of our entrepreneurs today were! (didn't take photo of person #2 today because was operating the entire shoot at that time).
.
Yup, so with that, the shooting is wrapped until the conference. After we launched the first video, which frankly in my opinion is just okay, we now have more entrepreneurs interested in this than we can film, since it benefits them anyway haha; win-win-win situation.
.
.
Final thoughts:
Shoot#1 - 1 entrepreneur only, most professional and exciting and had full control and the best equipment and mildly prepared. At Polar Mobile. Jacky and I + 3 people to help.
.
Shoot#2 - 3 entrepreneurs, had Rye TV ppl to help, was the day after getting back from NYC Ad Week, full control and then some, equipment is great but not like last time. At Polar Mobile. Jacky and I + 6 people to help (yikes)
.
Shoot #3 - 3 entrepreneurs (all women this time), had one Rye TV guy show up while other was sick, equipment was missing in some cases but managed and got things together and solved quickly. At Mars Discovery District. Myself + 3 people to help.
Filming is awesome.

Sorry for the hiatus.
Advertising is 24/7; that's 48 hours a day and 14 days a week or at least it feels that way, but gosh darn, is it a great industry to strive for. I hope I can be as good as what I see out there. As my professor/coordinator of my Creative Advertising program says, "If it is to be, it is up to me." I believe that. I must believe in myself if I want to be the best. As I have learned over the course of the past few months, between talent and passion, passion wins out and although I strive for talent, I know I have passion. You have to have a thirst to be quenched; without that, all you have is untapped potential.
A friend once said something that stuck with me:
Dreams are there to be achieved, not admired from afar.
Allow me to introduce my new personal logo. What do you think?

Yeah! We got these guys yesterday. Our fish tank is finally up and running again after how many years?! haha. This time the fish tank actually looks nicely decorated if you ask me =)
And I almost forgot...Chucks!!
I LOVE this colour, the dark red... If you know me, you would know that hahaha. It only cost me $33 too; cheapest pair of shoes I've bought in recent years - yessss! Chucks were okay before to me, but when I saw this colour, they became cooler. I finally found some red shoes; I mentioned that I was looking for some to some of you. One person even mentioned it but the brighter red is so ugly haha =)

So the following balloon pictures are from my birthday back in May. Thanks to Alice for the balloons. The Batman balloon is the best!!

Floating back down to Earth after being surprised by the balloons!

I always dreamed of flying.

Always keep your head up!

These balloons were awesome! *romantic gaze*

This is me sharing the joy of balloons with a child that was watching them with only wonder and amazement in their eyes.

I like this flower picture I took so it's here randomly!

Just because you get older doesn't mean you can't enjoy life.
